Families and groups: ages and timing
What the operator's own age policy allows, and how a night at the Dancing Water Theater works for a family or a larger party.
Choose your seats ↗Age policy, as sold
| Policy | |
|---|---|
| Under 2 | One free per paying adult, if not occupying a seat |
| Unaccompanied minors | Not admitted |
| Everyone else | Needs their own ticket and seat |
The under-2 policy
One child under 2 can enter free with each paying adult, as long as that child doesn't take up a seat of their own — a lap-only allowance rather than a discounted child ticket. Anyone older, or any additional under-2, needs their own paid seat.
No unaccompanied minors
The operator doesn't admit unaccompanied minors to this show, so plan for at least one adult per group of children throughout.
Booking as a group
Because City of Dreams sells by category rather than by individual seat, a group booking together in the same category is generally seated together — worth booking in one transaction if keeping a group in one block matters to you.
Timing a family night around the show
Treat your booked session as an arrival time: City of Dreams runs its own calendar of dates and sessions rather than one fixed nightly slot, so build in extra time for a family group navigating the free shuttle or ferry beforehand. Some packages add a meet-and-greet with performers too, worth checking for.
Non-refundable, for every age
This ticket is non-refundable once booked, for adults and children alike, so confirm everyone's availability — including which night suits visiting relatives — before paying.
A show for a mixed-age group
With no stated minimum age beyond the under-2 and unaccompanied-minor policies, the production reads as workable for a multi-generation family group organising a single night out together in Cotai.
